ER RN Job Details – Phoenix, AZ

• Location: Phoenix, AZ 85008 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Emergency Department
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950 - $2000

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS
• Strong pediatric emergency nursing skills required; pediatric ED experience highly preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Preferred Certifications: CPI, PCAR
• Preferred Skills: Level I Trauma Center, arterial line management, central line care, ortho-trauma, neuro-trauma, head injury, spinal cord injury, traumatic amputation, gunshot wounds, ABG interpretation

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages: neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4 during all shifts
• Perform triage, initiate IVs, administer blood products, and manage ventilated patients
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, provide procedural sedation, and administer IV vasopressors
• Apply isolation precautions and provide care for trauma and non-trauma emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Participate in orientation and required annual training modules onsite or remotely
