ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Supervisor, Electrical, you will oversee and coordinate all electrical maintenance activities. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of detailed job plans, and work by leading your team, monitoring performance, and promoting adherence to all safety, environmental, and operational standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing detailed daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans while ensuring compliance with OEM specifications and identifying opportunities to implement best practices.

You will utilize software tools such as SAP and Microsoft Office to manage work orders, track progress, and maintain accurate records. You will actively participate in planning meetings, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and provide technical guidance to support reliable operations. Your leadership will help drive continuous improvement, reduce downtime, and maintain a strong culture of safety and accountability.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Ensure that all planned electrical activities for the fixed plant and mobile fleet are properly executed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Creating and integrating Weekly and Monthly plans into daily Shift Plans.
  • Communicating and executing daily Shift Plans.
  • Provide visible leadership among crew and peers.
  • Perform employee performance, track and monitor safety performance, evaluations, and hours of direct reports.
  • Collecting and communicating accurate information in a timely manner; and, setting area expectations, and holding crews accountable for working safely, performing quality work, communicating effectively, and taking care of equipment.
  • This position requires routine communication, collaboration, and interaction with management, peer, and direct reports.
  • Ensure that employees have all the necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Five (5) years of experience in the electrical environment required
  • 4 year accredited apprenticeship in the electrical, instrumentation, and process control trades or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience working in supervisory or lead role preferred.
  • Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.
  • Experience with medium/ high voltage power systems
  • Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
  • Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods, and procedures needed to complete projects.
  • Working knowledge of applicable MSHA rules and regulations
  • Valid driver’s license with eligibility to drive a company vehicle under company insurance.

  • Must pass background and drug screening
