Are you a seasoned accounting professional looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our accounts receivable efforts, reconciling ledger account balances, preparing financial statements, and assessing internal controls. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Requirements

A/P Functions

• Daily reconciliations of key Accounts Payable vendors. Responsible for analyzing and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all schedules and resolution of discrepancies.
• Daily credit card reconciliations for expenses and purchases
• Process employee expense reports using an automated expense reporting tool
• Process, file and pay sales tax returns

A/R Functions

• Analyze and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using external credit risk management tools
• Manage the collection efforts/calls for accounts receivable and accounts receivable team
• Post daily deposits/cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts
• Researching account disputes and billing discrepancies
• Process credit card transactions and maintain auto pay customers
• Research and resolve sales tax issues
• Upload invoices into customers AP portals

Other responsibilities

• Manage business license registrations and renewals

• Manage sales tax, bank and CPA audits

• Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Required Qualifications

• Advanced accounting education or BA/BS degree in accounting or finance
• 10+ years of professional progressive accounting experience
• Multi-entity, multi-currency experience
• Proven advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in working within tight deadlines and ability to effectively multi-task
• Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Salesforce and Avalara a plus
• Ability to coordinate with the sales department and customers/vendors to create effective working relationship

Physical Demands

• Sit at a computer for 8 hours per day
• Keyboarding for 8 hours per day
• Near Vision (working with small objects or reading small print)
• Speaking (communicating information to clients/coworkers)
• Hearing Requirements (In person speech, telephone, other sounds)

Job Location:

• Onsite at the Tempe office location Mon-Fri 8 AM - 5 PM
