As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients with daily living activities, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need while promoting their independence. This position requires a genuine dedication to helping others as you assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility support. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and routines, fostering a trusting and supportive relationship. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming activities such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort during movement.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of the client.
• Administer basic medication reminders and assist with medication management as instructed.
• Help clients with daily living activities including light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care, progress, and changes in condition.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in home care or nursing assistance preferred.
• Previous experience in personal care or a similar role is desirable.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and families.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Basic knowledge of personal care tasks, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification; additional certifications may be required.
