Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business planning and decision-making processes.

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and company records.
• Expense Tracking: Monitor and report on company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening.
• Ability to work in office as directed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in accounting software, NetSuite preferred. 
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPA or working towards CPA certification, preferred.
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• This position is performed in a standard office environment.
• This person will operate more than 90% of the time in a stationary position.
• When not stationary, this person may need to move about the office environment to access filing cabinets, office machinery etc.
• This person must be able to operate a computer, common software packages as other office machinery such as a calculator and a printer.
