PORTA JOHN- SERVICE TECHNICIAN / ROUTE OPERATIONS

GoodAim Site Services
Arizona

Job Description

Job Description

Position Overview

GOODAIM Site Services is a professional, growth-focused site services company providing portable sanitation, handwash, and jobsite support solutions for construction, commercial, industrial, and event clients throughout Phoenix and the West Valley. We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Service Technician to operate a daily service route, maintain portable sanitation equipment, execute deliveries and pickups, and ensure customers receive clean, reliable, on-time service.

This role is more than a driving position. It is a field operations role responsible for route efficiency, service quality, equipment care, safety, customer interaction, and representing the GOODAIM brand on active job sites and customer locations. The Service Technician directly impacts customer retention, operational performance, and the company’s reputation for reliability.

The ideal candidate takes pride in hard work, follows processes, communicates professionally, and understands that clean units, completed routes, accurate documentation, and dependable service are the foundation of this business.

Primary Purpose of the Role

The Service Technician is responsible for completing assigned daily routes safely, efficiently, and to GOODAIM standards. The role ensures portable restrooms, handwash stations, and related equipment are serviced, cleaned, restocked, inspected, documented, and maintained so customers can rely on GOODAIM without needing to follow up, complain, or chase service.

Key Responsibilities

Route Operations

  • Operate a service truck safely and efficiently along an assigned route across Phoenix and the West Valley.

  • Review route schedule, service requirements, delivery/pickup orders, special instructions, and priority stops before leaving the yard.

  • Complete all scheduled services, deliveries, pickups, relocations, and emergency requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain awareness of route efficiency, fuel usage, dump timing, traffic conditions, customer access, and daily completion expectations.

  • Communicate route delays, access issues, customer concerns, equipment problems, or incomplete stops to management immediately.

Portable Restroom & Handwash Service

  • Pump, clean, sanitize, deodorize, and restock portable restrooms according to company service standards.

  • Service handwash stations, including water refill, waste removal, soap/paper restocking, cleaning, and inspection.

  • Confirm every unit is clean, operational, properly placed, stable, stocked, and presentable before leaving the site.

  • Identify and report damaged, tipped, vandalized, leaking, or unsafe units.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor field-level corrections when appropriate.

Equipment, Truck & Supply Management

  • Inspect assigned truck and equipment daily before and after route completion.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and stocked service truck inventory, including chemicals, toilet paper, soap, PPE, tools, hoses, and related supplies.

  • Report mechanical concerns, safety issues, maintenance needs, or supply shortages quickly and accurately.

  • Follow company procedures for dumping, water refill, waste handling, chemical use, and sanitation compliance.

  • Protect company equipment from preventable damage through careful loading, unloading, placement, and operation.

Customer & Jobsite Communication

  • Represent GOODAIM professionally with superintendents, project managers, homeowners, event coordinators, vendors, and customers.

  • Respond to reasonable customer questions in a respectful, solutions-focused manner.

  • Escalate service complaints, special requests, or billing/contract questions to management rather than guessing or overcommitting.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and jobsite demeanor at all times.

  • Support the company’s reputation for being reliable, clean, responsive, and easy to work with.

Documentation & Accountability

  • Accurately complete route logs, service records, delivery/pickup confirmations, customer notes, and issue reports.

  • Document skipped stops, blocked access, damaged units, customer requests, extra service needs, and safety concerns.

  • Use assigned route software, mobile app, paper logs, or other company tools as required.

  • Maintain honest and accurate reporting; route completion must reflect actual work performed.

Performance Standards

Success in this role is measured by field execution, reliability, and service quality. Key standards include:

  • Routes completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Units cleaned, stocked, deodorized, and left presentable after every service.

  • Customer complaints minimized through consistent execution and proactive communication.

  • Truck, tools, and assigned equipment kept clean, stocked, safe, and operational.

  • Issues reported quickly and clearly so problems can be solved before they become customer complaints.

  • Safe driving, safe equipment operation, and compliance with company procedures.

  • Professional attitude, reliability, punctuality, and ownership of the route.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Reliable transportation to and from the yard.

  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and personal accountability.

  • Ability to work independently while following company procedures and route expectations.

  • Physically capable of lifting 50–75 lbs, pulling hoses, moving units as needed, climbing in and out of trucks, and working outdoors throughout the day.

  • Ability to work in Arizona heat, dust, construction environments, and varying weather conditions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

  • Professional communication skills with customers and team members.

  • Ability to use a smartphone, route app, GPS, messaging, and basic digital tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in route-based service, portable sanitation, septic, delivery driving, waste services, construction support, or field service work.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot simple equipment issues.

  • Experience operating trucks, trailers, pumps, tanks, hoses, or service equipment.

  • CDL or prior commercial vehicle experience is preferred but not required unless assigned equipment requires it.

  • Experience working around construction sites, commercial properties, or event environments.

  • Work Environment

  • This is a physically active outdoor field role. Technicians will drive, walk job sites, lift and move materials, operate pumps and hoses, clean units, service equipment, and interact with customers across multiple locations each day. Work may involve heat, dust, odors, uneven surfaces, construction activity, tight access areas, and changing schedules. Safety, professionalism, and consistency are required at all times.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.

  • Overtime opportunities based on workload and business needs.

  • Performance-based incentives tied to reliability, route completion, service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

  • Consistent, stable full-time work with a growing company.

  • Opportunity for advancement as GOODAIM expands its routes, fleet, and service areas.

Growth Opportunities

GOODAIM Site Services promotes from within whenever possible. High-performing technicians may advance into Senior Service Technician, Route Lead, Route Supervisor, Fleet & Equipment Lead, Dispatch, Operations Coordinator, or Field Operations Manager roles as the company grows.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The right person for this role is dependable, physically capable, self-directed, professional, and proud of doing the job correctly. This person does not need constant supervision, does not cut corners, communicates clearly, treats customers with respect, and understands that consistent service is what separates GOODAIM from average competitors.
