Cafe Francais is Tucson's only high end, 100% from scratch, local, French bakery. We are a small team consisting of 2 working baker/owners, four other baker (not including this position) and one salesperson.
We are currently seeking one full-time midnight baker. Working hours would be Wednesday - Sunday4am-12pm for training. 12am-8am after training. This is an hourly position of $17-$21/hr. with tips.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pulling and proofing laminated doughs
- Filling pastries before baking
- Baking pastries to perfection
- Finishing/decorating pastries
- Organizing pastries for display and transportation
- Dishes & light cleaning
- Light prep
- A passion for baking
- Previous experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role is preferred
- Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Strong organizational skills
- A sense of urgency
- The ability to Multitask effectively
- Efficient in time management
- Can work independently & as a team
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Can follow a recipe precisely
- A high level of common sense
- Can stand for long periods of time
- Can lift up to 50lbs
