Allegra + Kauboi + Lobby Bar at The REMI Hotel is currently looking for Security Leads to join our team!
We're searching for a candidate who can:
- With support from the Security Supervisor, manages the security staff by assigning shifts, delegating tasks, and ensuring that all team members perform their duties effectively. May also train security personnel, teaching them the establishment’s hospitable culture, policies, safety protocols, and de-escalation techniques.
- Oversee all outlets, including entry points, exits, and high-risk areas like the bar top, tables, the pool, etc. This remaining vigilant to spot potential issues such as overcrowding, suspicious behavior, or safety hazards.
- When disturbances arise—such as fights, intoxicated patrons causing trouble, or emergencies—the security lead steps in to assess the situation, de-escalate conflicts when possible, and take appropriate action. This may include removing unruly individuals or contacting law enforcement, as well as documenting incidents for legal or management review.
- Ensure that standards are maintained, such as dress codes, age restrictions, and acceptable conduct. Maintain compliance by checking IDs to prevent underage drinking and monitoring alcohol consumption to avoid over-serving.
- Collaborate with the leadership, service staff, and bartenders to ensure smooth operations. This includes communicating about large groups, special events, or potential security risks, and coordinating with local authorities or emergency services when needed.
- Oversee the flow of patrons entering and leaving the establishment, ensuring that guests and team members are safe. During busy periods, may manage queues to maintain order.
- In emergencies—such as fires, medical incidents, or security threats—the security lead directs evacuations or lockdown procedures, ensuring everyone’s safety. Ensure emergency exits are clear and staff are trained in emergency protocols.
- After incidents or shifts, prepare reports detailing security issues, actions taken, and recommendations for improvement. These reports are shared with leadership to address recurring problems or enhance security measures.
- Ensure that radios, stanchions, etc are in good repair.
- While focused on security, interact with guests professionally and hospitably.
