General Labor - Microgreens
JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Crew Leader – CEA, the energetic Technician 3 – Microgreens works on an as-needed basis in the day-to day operations of our Organic Microgreens operations. Includes but is not limited to: planting, harvesting, irrigating, and other tasks associated with the upkeep of the growing area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Tray and pot filling, seeding, transplanting, watering, pruning, sanitation, harvesting, packaging, and loading harvested products
· Filling trays and pots with soil
· Seed and water plants microgreens mechanically or using hand tools
· Harvesting products, packaging, and labeling them
· Transplanting or potting and labeling plants
· Regulate greenhouse conditions and indoor and outdoor irrigation systems
· Visually inspect and feel plants' leaves and roots and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease
· Clean work areas, sanitize rafts and hydroponic systems, trays, tools, and maintain grounds and landscaping
· Assist in farm construction, maintenance, or repair projects; i.e. covering greenhouse
· Must be able to work successfully independently and demonstrate effective time management skills, adapt to frequently changing work environment/needs.
· Works well as part of a team.
· Perform general farm work and participate in projects as needed.
· Maintain a clean and effective environment.
· Lifting and moving objects.
· Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience: Agricultural experience highly desired.
· Technical Skills: Ability to plant, irrigate and harvest when needed.
· Computer Skills: Entry level with the ability to use spreadsheets, smart sheets, printing, tablets, logs, and email.
· Languages: Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
· Proven ability to manage projects and adjust to changing priorities.
· Ability to work independently, able to prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
· Trustworthy in the management of housing equipment purchases and assignments and handling confidential team member personal information.
· Schedule flexibility, with the ability and willingness to work at different hours during the day or evening.
· Valid insurable driver's license (must be able to drive a company vehicle).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel, also talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. Employees must frequently load and move material. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to walk on uneven ground and climb machinery. Ability to drive for long periods of time. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
