Job Posting: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for Surgical Center

Job Description

Discover Vein and Vascular Center, a leading medical facility specializing in vascular surgery, is thrilled to announce an opening for a dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our surgical team. This full-time position is based within our state-of-the-art surgical center in Mesa, AZ, where we conduct advanced peripheral angiograms and vein treatments. Our commitment to excellent patient care requires a professional with a profound work ethic and a positive attitude, ready to contribute to our continuing success. This is not a remote job, requiring hands-on engagement in a dynamic surgical environment.

We value our team members and offer a competitive compensation package that reflects the skills and experiences brought to our center. Prior experience in a vascular surgery setting and proficiency in AthenaOne are advantageous but not mandatory. The role allows for a balanced work schedule, operating over three days a week—Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—with no scheduled duties on holidays and no on-call responsibilities. With approximately 34 hours of work each week, we support a healthy work-life balance and a constructive atmosphere that fosters professional growth, including opportunities for recent graduates who show promise and dedication to the field.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods.
  • Provide pain management and consultation in the perioperative setting.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and make anesthesia-related decisions accordingly.
  • Communicate with healthcare professionals to determine the condition of patients before, during, and after anesthesia.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of anesthesia services and patient condition.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of perioperative care policies and procedures.
  • Engage in team meetings and collaborate with other medical staff to facilitate patient care.
  • Stay current with new technologies and practices in anesthesia care.
  • Train and mentor junior nurses and assist with their professional development.
  • Participate in on-going education and professional development to maintain current CRNA certification.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the state of Arizona.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical care decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for effective management of perioperative schedules.
  • Proficient in using medical software, with preference for candidates experienced in AthenaOne.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to AANA guidelines.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Experience in vascular surgery practices is preferred but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work 34 hours a week from Tuesday to Friday, with no holiday or on-call duties.
