Job description :

The Occupational Therapist's responsibilities include:

- Assessment and implementation of students' occupational therapy needs
-All record-keeping related to each student assigned to the therapist
-Supervision of COTA staff
-Engage in data-driven instruction
-Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies

Duties:

Assess students to identify eligibility and IEP needs
Supervise, mentor, and support COTA; train COTAs and classroom staff to implement goals identified on student IEPs related to:
-fine motor skills
-life skills/training
-psychosocial adaptations
-sensory processing/adaptations
-visual motor skills

-Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions
-Support the delivery of services in a classroom integration model
-Communicate effectively and proactively with students and families
-Responsible for paperwork compliance with data collections relating to IEP goals and Student Digital Portfolios
-Maintain timely and accurate Medicaid Billing
-Accountability for growth and proficiency in IEP goals
-Participate in annual and ongoing staff training
-Write OT goals and progress monitoring data for students' IEPs
-Attend IEP/MET meetings for students with OT services

Minimum Qualifications:

-Experience delivering services in a school setting in a classroom integration model is preferred
-Ability to approach situations with optimism and perseverance
-Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
-Minimum of two years OT experience in a school setting preferred
-Experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
-Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card

Required:

-Arizona IVP Fingerprint clearance card
-Bachelor's, Master's Degree or higher
-Certified OTR in the state of Arizona
