Welder III (Mig/Tig)

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Shift: 1st Shift — 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay: $23/hr – $25/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Welder III (Mig/Tig) to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for performing advanced Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) on a wide range of close‐tolerance weldments. Work includes layout, fit/tack, and fabrication of complex assemblies using fixtures, jigs, and precision measuring tools. Materials include steel, stainless steel, aluminum (tube and sheet), and sheet metal.

The ideal Welder III (Mig/Tig) will be able to interpret AWS welding symbols, read complex blueprints, and complete high‐quality weldments with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Review instructions, prints, and work orders to plan work procedures, tools, and materials.
• Perform MIG/TIG welding on various metals in accordance with AWS codes.
• Set up welding equipment per Weld Process Specifications (WPS).
• Layout, position, and secure components using fixtures, jigs, tape measures, squares, rules, and calipers.
• Conduct minor maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
• Utilize material‐handling equipment as needed.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and blueprint requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow all safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of MIG/TIG welding processes and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbols.
• Skilled in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and squares.
• Ability to perform welds that pass visual and destructive testing.
• Experience working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Knowledge of welding machine setup and operation.
• Ability to operate hand tools, air tools, and grinders.
• Basic math skills, including conversions and calculations.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a two‐year vocational welding program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of welding experience .
• This role requires the capability and experience expected of a Welder III (Mig/Tig) .

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and temperature changes.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently.
• Frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
• Must meet Jager‐2 vision test requirements.
• May require occasional travel for training or meetings.
