SCHEDULER

Position Summary
The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling detailed project schedules for mission-critical data center construction projects within a Joint Venture partnership with GCON Construction. This role ensures projects are executed safely, on time, and in alignment with contractual milestones and client expectations. The Scheduler works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, Subcontractors, and client representatives to monitor progress, identify risks, analyze schedule impacts, and support mitigation strategies that keep projects on track. This position will maintain a primary presence at the Joint Venture office in North Phoenix, Arizona, with the expectation to report to BGI headquarters in Mesa, Arizona, as needed to support coordination and alignment between JV operations and corporate leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage integrated master schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
- Build and update baseline schedules, including critical path analysis, milestone tracking, and phased turnover planning.
- Coordinate with field teams, trade partners, design teams, and clients to validate sequencing, durations, and resource loading.
- Perform critical path method analysis and proactively identify schedule risks or constraints.
- Track and report schedule performance, including float erosion, delays, variances, and recovery plans.
- Support commissioning, turnover, and phased handover schedules specific to data center environments.
- Review subcontractor schedules to ensure alignment with the master project schedule.
- Perform resource loading, leveling, and manpower forecasting.
- Assist with schedule impact analysis related to change orders and potential claims.
- Support bid and proposal development with conceptual and detailed schedule creation.
- Lead or participate in weekly schedule coordination meetings.
- Prepare executive-level schedule reports and dashboards for leadership and clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of schedule updates, revisions, and assumptions.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, site-specific requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Report unsafe conditions or operational risks immediately.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational objectives.
Core Competencies
- Strong knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Experience with critical path method scheduling and schedule impact analysis.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and sequencing requirements.
- Strong understanding of mission-critical construction sequencing, including MEP systems.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to forecast and mitigate schedule risks.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of project controls and construction management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–10 years of scheduling experience, preferably in large-scale commercial or data center construction.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar advanced scheduling platforms.
- Working knowledge of resource planning, cost loading, and project controls.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
