Buck & Rider is hiring for our Raw Bar team, specifically an Oyster Chef! A unique job here in Arizona, our Raw Bar team is ever growing. Our Chefs provide dependable, fast service to the team and guests and present oysters and other raw bar items with a touch of sophistication. We are looking for an experienced and refined Oyster Chef to join our culinary team.

Day in the Life:

• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
• Shucking oysters at a steady pace with precision and efficiency, ensuring the highest quality presentation for our guests.
• Curate and craft dishes that reflect the restaurant’s elegant, contemporary style.
• Foster a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere through impeccable service and culinary expertise.
• Keeps work areas and food storage areas, clean and safe at all times
• Maintain a high level of knowledge about oyster varieties, seasonal availability, and sourcing
• Engage with guests when applicable in a friendly and approachable manner, providing information about our products and answering any questions guests may have
• Reading and following department of health standards and food industry standards
• Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Perform all other duties as required, including prep work or additional tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced, team environment
• A professional demeanor, with a genuine passion for hospitality and delivering an exceptional dining experience
• A sophisticated and refined approach to cooking, with an emphasis on presentation and technique.
• Must be able to communicate effectively
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, and frequently lift and bend from the waist
• Must be able to stand for long periods
