Forklift Operator - Extrusion Plant

Starting Rate of pay: $21.15/hour

Shift Premium: $1.00/hour extra for shift differential

Shifts Available and Hours:

6:00 AM - 2:30PM Monday to Friday, overtime as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Check billet/logs availability for daily schedule for due dates.
• Verifies proper ID & selection of billets/logs for each order.
• Ensure that racks, skids and baskets are ready for operators.
• Checks and maintains ovens, loads and unloads ovens, makes hourly checks.
• Has read and understands work instructions for extrusion presses and age ovens.
• Empties scrap and chip hoppers as needed.
• Complies with company safety and housekeeping specifications.
• Responsible for minor maintenance on forklift, checks fluid levels and general condition.
• Completes “Lift truck operator’s daily inspection report.”

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English.
• Must read and understand all work and safety instructions relevant to their
  specific position.
• Must be able to use and maintain all basic tools and measuring equipment
  pertinent to their specific position.
• Must have good driving skills.
