Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Joint Commission Accredited community hospital
• Unit: 40-bed Med/Surg Telemetry
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36 (weekly guarantee)
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Floating: May float to Intermediate Care (IMC) or Emergency Department (ED) units
• Patient Population: Adult/Geriatric
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Dress Code: Black scrubs (top and bottom)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2070

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• Ability to manage a 6-patient assignment
• Preceptor and charge nurse experience preferred
• Strong clinical skills, compassionate, positive, can-do attitude

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry data
• Care for patients with total joint replacements, post-surgical recovery, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, GI bleeding, and acute on chronic medical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to IMC or ED units as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Medhost EHR
• Utilize Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicel drug dispensing cabinets, and Zoll defibrillators
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and adaptability to unit needs
