Location: MGRM Pinnacle / Pinnacle Charter Schools – Tempe, AZ (Full-Time, On-site)

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dependable and well-rounded HR Generalist to support the expanding human resources function across our growing charter school network. Working closely with the HR & Payroll Manager, school leadership, and the finance team, the HR Generalist will play a key role in driving talent acquisition , supporting performance and evaluation processes , and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations .
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and enjoys balancing tactical responsibilities with opportunities to strengthen organizational culture and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Lead and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for all roles, including job postings, sourcing, screening, and interview coordination.
- Develop strong candidate pipelines by cultivating connections with universities, community organizations, and professional associations.
- Create and maintain standardized hiring tools such as interview rubrics, scoring sheets, and communication templates.
- Ensure a professional, inclusive, and values-aligned candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs and contribute to workforce planning.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and recommend process improvements to strengthen quality-of-hire and time-to-fill.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Facilitate all new hire onboarding steps, including documentation, orientation, and initial systems access.
- Coordinate offboarding processes, ensuring timely deactivation of access and collection of exit documentation and feedback.
Performance & Evaluation Support:
- Review weekly staff performance reports and flag patterns or areas requiring attention to leadership.
- Support the refinement of job descriptions, SMART goals, and performance metrics in collaboration with the HR & Payroll Manager.
- Assist in implementing consistent evaluation timelines and feedback practices across departments.
Payroll, Benefits & Policy Support:
- Provide administrative support to the HR & Payroll Manager in processing payroll, managing benefits enrollment, and coordinating annual open enrollment.
- Assist in communicating benefit updates and responding to employee questions.
- Help ensure employee records remain accurate, complete, and compliant with audit and legal requirements.
- Track submission of time-sensitive documentation such as contracts, certifications, and evaluations.
General HR Operations:
- Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions and day-to-day employee needs.
- Support employee relations and engagement efforts with professionalism and discretion.
- Help identify areas for improved documentation, systems, or communication and assist in implementing changes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist or multi-functional capacity.
- Proven experience with recruitment, onboarding, and performance support.
- Working knowledge of HR compliance practices and basic payroll/benefits processes.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus but not required.
- Experience in education or a small to midsize organization is preferred.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to school sites across Arizona for interviews, onboarding, or staff engagement.

Additional Information
This role may require occasional travel within the state of Arizona to support recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement efforts across our various school sites.
