Project Manager (Paint/Drywall)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee residential drywall and paint operations across multiple job sites. This role requires a proactive leader with deep knowledge of construction processes, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of drywall and paint projects from pre-construction to final punch
• Coordinate with builders, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution
• Work cooperatively with General Superintendent to schedule and supervise field crews, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
• Monitor project budgets, material usage, and labor costs to maintain profitability
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with specifications
• Review blueprints, scopes of work, and builder requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, change orders, and billing
• Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams to provide updates and address concerns
• Support hiring, training, and performance management of field staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in drywall and/or paint project management, preferably in residential construction
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, materials, and trade coordination
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Comfortable working in a strong computer software environment
• Proficiency in project management software and mobile field tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Phoenix-area builders and construction practices
• Experience in multi-family developments and production home environments
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
