The Assembler will assemble materials, parts and goods on assembly lines or designated workstations. May use hand tools, wires, etc. to produce and deliver a quality product in a timely manner for internal and external customers. Eliminates scrap and additional costs using zero defects' methods and following work instructions and processes. Always work in a safe manner following the safety policies, housekeeping, and environmental policies.

Position Responsibilities may include:

• Assemble / install materials, parts and equipment on assembly lines or designated workstations.

• Potential tasks may include putting lids on boxes, scanning inventory, installing wires, compressors, tops, panels, and other general assembly tasks.

• Ensure all parts and materials used match the bill of material.

• Ensure work meets quality standards.

• Ensure work is performed timely and efficiently to meet production requirements.

• Maintain workspace in terms of organization and cleanliness.

• Follow safe work practices, protocols, and company policies.

• Wear/use always required personal protective equipment.

• Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

Nature & Scope:

• Works within well-defined instructions

• Uses established procedures and works under supervision to perform assigned tasks

• Work is closely supervised

Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to operate air and hand tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, and screw guns.

• Ability to perform duties with efficiency, safety, high quality, and timely following work instructions to meet production requirements.

• Attention to detail and basic math / counting skills.

• Ability to interpret and follow work instructions including all safety policies.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to get along well, communicate timely and accurately with co-workers, supervisors and team leads.

• Ability to pass in-house training program.

• Good eye/hand coordination

• Requires physical labor and repetitive movement including lifting/moving product.

• Ability to work with limited supervision.

• Ability to stand extended periods of time, 8-10 hours a day.

• Ability to work overtime as needed, including working up to a 5 to 7-day work week occasionally and/or during peak season.

• Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.

Experience
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred

Education/Certification:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred

People Management: No

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Manufacturing environment with forklift traffic.

• PPE required: steel toed safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and gloves.

• Job requires standing (up to 90%), walking (up to 10%), stooping or bending, reaching, twisting and turning.

• Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 40 lbs.

• Hand Eye Coordination, handling tools and other objects (holding, grasping), repetitive wrist motion (flexion/rotation), and repetitive foot movements (Foot Pedals).
