The firm maintains a strong litigation practice representing landlords, property owners, and businesses in real estate and landlord-tenant disputes, including a high volume of unlawful detainer matters alongside broader civil litigation.

This Real Estate Attorney position involves managing a 50/50 caseload of unlawful detainer (evictions) and civil real estate/landlord-tenant litigation . The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient and collaborative attorney who is comfortable handling cases from inception through resolution, with a strong emphasis on drafting and responding to discovery and appearing regularly in court .

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage a combined caseload of unlawful detainer actions and civil real estate/landlord-tenant litigation matters

• Draft, propound, and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions

• Develop and execute discovery strategies to support case progression and resolution

• Prepare and argue motions, including discovery-related motions (e.g., motions to compel, protective orders)

• Appear regularly in court for hearings, case management conferences, and unlawful detainer proceedings

• Handle case management responsibilities, including meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with procedural rules

• Collaborate with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently

Qualifications:

• Experience in civil discovery, case management, law, and motions

• Must have litigation experience, drafting discovery, and handling court appearances.

• 1 to 4 years of experience in CA Litigation

• Real Estate and Probate Background a plus, but not required

• Juris Doctorate and California Bar Accreditation required. 

• Experience with unlawful detainers, landlord-tenant, or real estate litigation strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation Range: $150,000 +

• 401k match up to 4%

• PTO, Sick Leave
