Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Chandler, AZ 85224 (Phoenix metropolitan area)
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Physical Therapist Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (August 7, 2025 – November 6, 2025)
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2120–$2180
• Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36 (scheduled for up to 40 hours per week; 36 hours are guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: One weekend shift per month (Saturday or Sunday)
• Float Requirement: Ability to float to nearby Gilbert, AZ location (15 minutes away) as needed
• Patient Population: Adult rehabilitation patients
• Unit Size: 50 beds
• Patient Ratio: PT/OT staff oversee approximately 9 patients
• Electronic Health Record: UDS and Cerner

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of experience in adult inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or acute care settings
• Proven experience with neurological, orthopedic, and complex medical patient populations
• Willingness and ability to float to the Gilbert, AZ location as needed
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
• Maroon scrubs required

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions for adults with neurological, orthopedic, and complex medical conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to optimize patient recovery and independence
• Utilize advanced rehabilitation equipment including In-motion, Synaptic, EKSO, and VR technologies
• Document patient progress and outcomes using UDS and Cerner EHR systems
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and safety strategies
• Float to the Gilbert, AZ location as needed to support patient census
