**Responsibilities**
**Position Summary:**
Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations.
+ Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
+ Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization.
+ It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
+ The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.

The Medical / Surgical / Trauma ICU DEPARTMENT at Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. Serving the critical care adult population, each "dedicated" unit consists of 8-beds and offers an exciting, challenging opportunity for nurses to care for the very highest acuity patients in a 1:2 or 1:1 nurse to patient ratio. All units report to one Nurse Manager; nurses are hired specifically for each unit yet have an opportunity to cross train.

· ACS Accredited Level 1 Trauma Center

· Medical, Surgical, Trauma ICU
· Certified to perform Kidney Transplants
· National Leader in the care of Pulmonary Hypertension patients

**Qualifications**
**Minimum:**
+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
+ AZ RN license
+ Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification - Nat'l
+ Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification - Nat'l
+ Basic computer skills.
**Preferred:**
+ BSN
+ Professional certification in area of specialty.
+ One year recent acute care experience.

$35.00 - $58.63 /hour
