You are the very face of the garden center, and the sales teams' performance has a huge impact on company performance and customer perceptions. Sales professionals must possess curiosity, eagerness, and plant knowledge to solve customers' needs while also developing and fostering long-term, trusting relationships with local gardeners.

You need to be recognized for communicating with customers and providing exceptional service that ensures customer retention and positive feedback. A proven ability to increase sales through upselling techniques as well as implement new processes that drive sales.

You'll have to be a good listener with an ability to apply what you hear towards finding what is right for the customer. Our customers look to you for help them through the garden process. You don't have to know much about plants, we can teach you all the local tips, tricks, and techniques, but you do have to be outgoing, friendly, and good at sales.

We are flexible - We are fun to work with, but flexible with your time so you can pursue outside activities you love, like the perfect golf swing, travel plans, or gardening. With a little notice, we can accommodate your outdoor projects.

Responsibilities
1. Make sure no customer is ever under-served
2. Outgoing & friendly - you are the face of Watters and our official plant ambassadors
3. Avoid the "I'm just looking" response from customers, at ALL Cost
4. Eager to use your selling skills to build garden solutions while maintaining high velocity and service
5. Make local gardening easier by communicating to customers what is possible
6. Use all relevant sales tools including online learning to drive profitability and exceed sales goals
7. Help answer questions and resolve customer issues
8. Ensure plants thrive in the garden after the sale.
9. Keep display beds neat, tidy, raked and plants lined for best health and display
10. Keep weeds low, beds clean and broken plants nipped and looking their best
11. Stock, replenish, and organize inventory with accuracy and efficiency.
12. Perform other duties as assigned
