: Communications Seasonal Associate Fiesta Sports Foundation Scottsdale · AZ About the Fiesta Sports Foundation: The Fiesta Sports Foundation is a nonprofit entity that champions college football and community engagement through iconic events that celebrate the spirit of competition, culture and charity. Renowned for hosting the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, one of college football's premier bowl games, and a series of associated events, our mission is to contribute to the vibrancy of our community, provide memorable experiences, and make a positive impact through our charitable endeavors. Role Summary: This position will report to the Communications & Social Media Manager and will include but not be limited to assistance with writing projects, media relations, publications, event production/management, website and social media content collection/development. The successful candidate will possess the following qualities: advanced writing skills, outstanding attention to detail, experience working within tight deadlines, social media acumen and football knowledge. Relevant writing samples will be requested during the interview process. The Fiesta Sports Foundation offers several Seasonal Associate positions throughout the fall and winter season. Positions are non-exempt/paid positions and are not benefits eligible. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. However, this is subject to change, especially during the Bowl Season and for other events. Candidates must have access to reliable transportation and will be subject to background checks. Responsibilities:

• Produce and distribute company e-blasts and e-newsletters, including editorial management of organization's weekly College Football Insider.
• Serve as internal communications lead for Vrbo Fiesta Bowl Parade as primary point of contact between Events & Operations and Corporate Partnerships departments to execute successful parade.
• Write creative/feature stories, editorial pieces, press releases and scripts.
• Assist with content creation for game and event-related collateral, including game programs, media guides and game day guides.
• Assist with the execution of game week and game day media operations elements as well as management of media operations volunteers.
• Process purchase orders/quotes and vendor invoices.
• Assist with planning and management of communications, digital media strategy and event media relations.
• Create social media content to align with Fiesta Sports Foundation, Vrbo Fiesta Bowl and Rate Bowl brand standards.
• Track and report organizational earned media.
• Maintain and update media contact lists.
• Manage day-to-day needs of the communications staff and complete general office tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, or currently in progress.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Proven examples of success working under pressure, while maintaining attention to detail.
• Dependability and flexibility to work long hours including evenings and weekends.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
• Experience with social media content creation and video editing is encouraged.
