About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Travel experience is a plus. Description: CVICU experience is a plus but not required. Attendance policy: Travelers are allowed one call out per contract. If there is a second call out, proper documentation will be needed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The facility is a Joint Commission Accredited hospital with 171 beds. It serves as a community hospital and regional referral center. It is recognized as a Certified Chest Pain Center and is designated as a Level Trauma 3 facility. Local attractions include outdoor recreation such as fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking. There are various restaurants, breweries, and distilleries in the area. Enjoy beautiful mountain ranges paired with serene lake scenery. The facility is close to major cities: Las Vegas (2.5 hours drive), Phoenix (3.25 hours drive), and Grand Canyon National Park (3.5 hours drive). In addition, it is about 5 hours from Los Angeles or San Diego. Unit profile: ICU with a total of 16 beds. Patient ratio is 1:2. Common diagnoses and treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, and trauma. Knowledge of CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR is beneficial. The supervisor on the unit is responsible for oversight. Candidate should be dressed in scrub color of their choice. No unacceptable attire is recognized.
