Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver critical care expertise across multiple units including ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU at a well-established medical center in Dewey, AZ. This contract role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse patient population with complex needs, incorporating advanced clinical skills and critical thinking in a dynamic float pool environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to geriatric, orthopedic, post-procedural cardiac, and stepdown patients.
• Manage and titrate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin.
• Interpret ECG strips and dysrhythmias; maintain competency by passing a required dysrhythmia exam prior to contract finalization.
• Collaborate with charge nurses (who do not have assignments) and support nursing assistants to deliver quality care.
• Adapt to patient assignments across two campusesincluding ICU, MedSurg Tele, PCU, and inpatient holding unitsbased on timely communication via text.
• Adhere to scrub color standards, transitioning to navy blue scrubs aligning with organizational guidelines.
• Complete a comprehensive orientation including general hospital, MedTele, and PCU shifts.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure with at least 1 year of ICU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proficient in managing critical care drips and respiratory support devices such as CPAP, BiPAP, and Heated High Flow.
• Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythms.
• Ability to commit to every-other weekend and holiday rotations; flexibility for standby call during shifts.
• Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN within CommonSpirit-associated facilities within the past year.
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with a minimum score of 80% within two attempts.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, primarily 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with block scheduling options for night shifts.
• Schedule published 6 weeks in advance and may require flexibility to cover multiple units spanning two campuses approximately 2025 minutes apart.
