Key Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License required
• Current K-12 Special Education (SPED) Certificate
• IVP Fingerprint Card (current and valid)
• Demonstrated experience working with students with emotional disabilities or those developing prosocial and self-regulatory skills
• Familiarity or certification in Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.), or willingness to actively participate in relevant staff development
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and district special education guidelines, particularly for creating and implementing compliant documentation and activities

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that adhere to regulatory standards
• Deliver engaging and effective instruction to promote academic, emotional, and social growth
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure holistic student support
• Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate records and actively participate in student-focused meetings and professional growth opportunities
