As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Screener in Scottsdale, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a SCREENER in a financial institution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and verifying credentials to manage access. Your visible presence and focus on customer service will contribute to a welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. You will utilize technology such as computers or tablets to support your work, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, assist with emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification, conducting bag checks, and/or utilizing other screening methods as required by site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Maintain detailed records of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policies.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter and identify potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
