Full-Time | Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)

Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000

Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI) is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team and support the financial operations of our organization and its affiliated entities.

DPI operates under an umbrella structure that supports several affiliated nonprofit and community organizations working together to advance the vitality of Downtown Phoenix. This role plays an important part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and smooth day-to-day accounting operations across these entities.

Reporting to the Director of Finance , the Accounting Specialist will support core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience including AP and AR responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Experience working with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in nonprofit, municipal, or multi-entity environments is a plus
