Assistant Practice Manager
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Assistant Practice Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy medical practice in Mesa, Arizona. This full-time leadership role is ideal for a healthcare operations professional who excels in staff management, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination.
The Assistant Practice Manager will oversee both clinical support and front office teams, ensure efficient workflows, and support providers through effective scheduling and operational oversight. This role works closely with leadership to maintain high standards of patient care, operational efficiency, and staff engagement.
Schedule:Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location:On-site, Mesa, AZ
Compensation & Benefits:$68,000–$73,000 annually plus full benefits package
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise MA and front office teams (patient access and procedure scheduling)
Coordinate provider schedules and external facility communication
Assist with SOP development and operational workflows
Manage office and medical supply ordering
Support efficient, patient-centered daily operations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a free-standing medical practice environment preferred
Medical Assisting experience required
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Advanced computer skills
Ability to manage confidential information responsibly
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
