Founded in 2013, locally owned and operated, EDGE Building Services, Inc offers clients environmentally friendly, full scope janitorial services. In addition to standard janitorial programs, EDGE offers complimentary services including floor care, carpet cleaning, glass cleaning, pressure washing, jr. engineering along with other building maintenance services. EDGE has successfully gained its position in the marketplace primarily through positive client referrals and word-of-mouth advertisement. Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated General Cleaner to join our Special Services team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various areas, ensuring job quality, and improving communication between technicians, management, and customers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the flexibility to manage high-priority situations.
How You Can Help Us Grow:
Dusting
Dust/wipe all horizontal and vertical surfaces in general office areas, break rooms, individual offices, and hallways.
Check/re-stock paper products in break room areas as needed.
Remove fingerprints and smudges on glass surfaces of tenant entry doors.
Spot clean corridor walls and baseboards.
Wipe down all receptacles as needed.
Clean, disinfect, and polish all water coolers.
Damp wipe all furniture and fixtures.
Clean elevator tracks.
Restroom Maintenance
Clean all fixtures (toilets, urinals, sinks).
Wipe down counters, stall partitions, dispenser exteriors, and spot clean mirrors.
Check/restock all paper products.
Sweep/mop all flooring surfaces.
Sweeping/Mopping
Sweep/mop all hard surface flooring, paying special attention to baseboards and corners.
Communicate to Supervisor any flooring imperfections in need of special attention.
Trash Removal
Empty all ashtrays, trashcans, and recyclables and replace liners.
Place all trash on plastic tarps in corridor for later removal.
Transport all waste collected to the designated disposal areas.
Vacuuming
Police area for items too large to be picked up by vacuum (place valuable items found on floor on the nearest table/countertop and notify Supervisor immediately).
Vacuum and/or mop floors, paying special attention to baseboards and corners.
Vacuum corridor floor. Note any stains on walls, carpet, and baseboards that require additional special attention.
When finished cleaning/exiting each area, turn off all lights and lock interior doors, suite, and common area doors as called for in tenant specifications.
Leave vacuum in designated location.
General Responsibilities
Inform Supervisor of any plumbing, mechanical, or electrical malfunctions.
Report any visible property damage that occurred prior to or during shift.
Your Background:
Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
Dedication to providing premier janitorial services in a professional and consistent manner at all times.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with established duties; accomplish specific tasks all while maintaining attention to detail.
Team player attitude and positive approach.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to lift 10 lbs or more.
Valid Driver’s License.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
