Director Internal Comms and Marketing

Under the direction of the SVP, Strategy, Marketing, and Communications, the Director of Internal Communications and Marketing shapes the strategy, planning, production, and execution of internal communications across multiple platforms to help advance employee engagement, just culture, and alignment to the Valleywise Health mission and brand. This individual infuses a storytelling mentality into the internal communications of the organization. Oversees the planning and development of a content strategy that supports enterprise business strategy. Leads the creative development and delivery of Valleywise Health's organic social media, including messaging, brand, values, and visual style. Ensures robust tracking, monitoring, and responsive messaging and is responsible for the overall governance and operations of VH's social media and GMB platforms. Partners with the SVP to monitor and develop digital marketing strategies, including paid search, paid social, website optimization, and SEO, to drive traffic and conversions. This role will also assist the Director of Public Relations and Media in developing and executing Valleywise Health's media strategy across various channels. The position requires demonstrated experience and proficiency in leading frontline teams. Requires extensive collaboration with various health-system, clinical, and non-clinical leaders to understand objectives and provide counsel on communications strategies delivered to employees and other internal stakeholders through a variety of platforms. Annual Salary Range: $113,734 - $167,752 Qualifications Education: - Requires a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Master's degree is desirable.
Experience: - Must have at least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in communications or a related field.
- Prefer five years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Must be a strong writer, presenter, and communicator.
- Must have a firm understanding of communications best practices.
- Must have experience designing, implementing, reporting, and analyzing content communication strategies.
- Knowledge of healthcare services and physician relations is preferred.
- Must possess excellent guest relations and communication skills, initiative, tact, diplomacy, and other interpersonal skills necessary for effective leadership.
- Must be a successful leader of people, have strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate a team.
- Must be able to decide how to allocate people, time, and other resources to create, execute, and accomplish an operating or project plan on time and within budget.
- Must have solid analytical and problem-solving skills and utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control, and coordinate activities.
- Must manage priorities in a dynamic environment and adapt to change quickly and positively.
- Must be able to work as a team member with peers, other managers, staff, and senior leadership.
- Must demonstrate necessary discretion in dealing with confidential information.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Location: Valleywise Health System · Marketing & Communications Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week, Days
