KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as the main point of contact for supply vendors, coordinating vendor days, scheduling reviews, and negotiating programs (specials, rebates).
• Review and analyze product performance within each category, planning for new additions, replacements, or returns.
• Regularly shop competitors, attend industry trade shows, and analyze trends to identify new product opportunities.
• Develop and deliver Product Knowledge (PK) training to staff on all supplied products to improve sales competence.
• Review display areas across all branches to maximize space, and develop promotional strategies for slow-moving goods.
• Create upsell lists for contractor sales and showroom staff; work directly at the counter to gather customer feedback and identify product gaps.
• Complete and submit new item worksheets, ensuring timely onboarding of new products.
• Other projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experience in vendor management, product development, or category management (preferably in flooring, tools, or building materials)
• Must be able to pass a felony background check
• Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license, ability to travel to other locations and vendor sites.
• Strong analytical skills;
• Excellent reading, writing and math skills, database knowledge, internet savvy, high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong work ethic, drive, determination, self-motivation and excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills, friendly, outgoing personality, positive attitude, polished appearance.
• Willingness to work at the counter, visit branches, and attend tradeshows.

Job Type: Full-Time, Salary (Non-exempt)

Shift: Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday

Hours: 7am – 4pm

Starting Pay: $60,000 - $65,000
