Director, Education and Certification Products
Role Summary
The Product Director is responsible for the strategy, development, delivery and performance of assigned products and services within the portfolio, including training and education programs, and professional certifications. This role ensures these products advance the careers of supply management professionals and organizational success.
The Product Director serves as the voice of the customer and works cross-functionally with marketing, sales, content, technology, and customer support teams to identify market opportunities, define product requirements, and bring new and timely content to market with exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap
· Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for assigned products and services
· Align product priorities with our organizational goals, market opportunities, and member needs
· Identify opportunities for new products, enhancements, pricing strategies, and bundling options
· Execution and delivery meets or exceeds brand expectations
Market and Customer Insight
· Gather and analyze customer feedback, market research, competitive intelligence, and usage data
· Monitor industry trends in supply management, procurement, professional education, and certification and translate into actionable insights
· Develop business cases and recommendations for product investments
Product Development and Launch
· Define product requirements, features, and success metrics
· Direct cross-functional product development teams to ensure high-velocity, high-quality launches that meet defined commercial objectives.
· Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to support go-to-market planning and product positioning
Lifecycle Management
· Monitor product performance, including revenue, participation, retention, and customer satisfaction
· Recommend and implement product improvements based on data and stakeholder feedback
· Manage product sunset decisions when offerings no longer align with strategy or performance expectations
Financial Management
· Develop revenue forecasts and product business cases
· Monitor product profitability and key performance indicators
· Recommend pricing and packaging strategies to maximize value and financial performance
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, product management, or a related field.
· Five or more years of experience in product management
· Experience with professional education, certification, membership, data products, or SaaS offerings preferred
· Strong analytical, strategic thinking, execution and project management skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
