Portfolio Manager

Pima Federal Credit Union of Tucson, AZ is looking to hire a full-time Portfolio Manager. PORTFOLIO MANAGER

Our Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing various commercial lending functions, including underwriting and portfolio management. This role supports the review and quality analysis of commercial loans for both prospective and existing members, ranging from basic to complex in nature, while ensuring all loan files are complete and compliant with credit union standards and applicable regulations. The Portfolio Manager plays a key role in maintaining overall credit quality by preparing financial spreads, underwriting full loan presentations, and utilizing loan pricing models to prepare approval packages for new and existing loans.

In addition, the Portfolio Manager evaluates financial statements, historical trends, projections, management performance, industry factors, cash flow, capital structure, and collateral. Attention to detail is critical, as this role is responsible for reviewing loan documentation for accuracy, ensuring timely closings, and maintaining compliance throughout the loan lifecycle. The Portfolio Manager also maintains relationships with borrowers and property managers to obtain required documentation, collaborates with internal teams such as Business Services on small business loan requests, and determines appropriate reporting requirements, including credit, environmental, appraisal, and property evaluations.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PORTFOLIO MANAGER

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting, tax returns, and financial statements.
• Three years of related work experience.
• Three years of commercial loan underwriting experience.
• Master's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
