Material Coordinator

Acara Solutions is looking for a Material Coordinator for one of our clients in Buckeye, AZ.

Pay rate: $34-$42/hour

Leader is looking to bring someone on as soon as possible

Job Duties:

Coordinate ordering, scheduling, delivery, and material management for construction / maintenance projects. Identify shortages and special material requirements to eliminate project delays. Prepare required documentation to track cost, discrepancies, and special needs. Perform support to verify, analyze and reconcile materials and major equipment to account for quantities, cost, and equipment identification. May be assigned various administrative level duties in support of the office;
1) Provide training and technical support to other personnel in the utilization of MLIS, MAXIMO, Decision Support, work processes and APS accounting systems and principals.
2) Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure transfer and direct buy levels meet Material Request demands. Plan, order, and ensure required materials are in the storeroom. Prepare all documentation to issue and receive material for contract jobs, and to track costs.
3) Investigate and maintain accurate information on equipment and materials in MLIS, MAXIMO and Decision Support computer databases.
4) Approve and monitor material requested for construction/maintenance projects and expedite critical material needed to meet project completion dates.
5) Identify material shortages and take required steps to expedite and eliminate delays.
Serve as liaison between the Warehouse, Hauling, external transportation agents, Reclamation and Users. Ensure accurate and timely deliveries to the warehouse and job sites.
6) Provide cost management information to management to assist in meeting Capital and O&M budget goals.
7) Perform special projects regarding warehouse and inventory issues as requested by management.
8) Research and resolve material discrepancies for specific projects and jobs. Complete journal vouchers assuring that charges are correctly distributed.
9) Effectively interface with various departments/contractors to ensure conflicts are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• Contractor will be working Monday through Friday
  • 6am-2:30pm during the winter
  • 5am-1:30pm during the summer
• Role will be fully onsite
  • Location: 8100 State Route 85, Buckeye, AZ 85326
• 12 month contract with possibility of extension

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in material management
• Any work management program experience is preferred
• Maximo experience is a plus
• Must have strong computer skills, Microsoft Suite
• Contractor will be moving material in and out of stock, making material returns, and coordinating with warehouse personnel on material request demands.
