• Weekly Salary Range: $2120 - $2180 per week

Physical Therapist Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Tucson, Arizona 85712 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital (hospital physical therapy jobs)
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week (08:00 – 16:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Coverage: Two weekend shifts per schedule period required
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• First-time travel physical therapists welcome!

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital setting
• Current Physical Therapy license in Arizona or compact state eligibility
• BLS certification required
• Supervisory reference required
• Ability to work two weekend shifts per schedule period
• Strong acute care, assessment, discharge planning, patient/family education, and assistive device skills
• No more than one DUI on record; any DUI must be at least one year old

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adult patients with neurological, orthopedic, surgical, medical, and complex psychosocial conditions
• Administer diagnostic testing and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical record systems
• Collaborate with medical and allied health professionals for patient progress and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families/caregivers on therapeutic procedures and rehabilitation goals
• Supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and students per department policy
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive clinical support
• Participate in ongoing process improvement and uphold organizational safety, confidentiality, and values
