IT Systems Engineer Intern (North Scottsdale)

Hourly Rate: $25–$35/hour
Schedule: 5 days/week in-office

Overview

This is a dynamic opportunity for individuals passionate about IT and eager to grow into a leadership role. The position begins as an internship with a clear path to promotion into an IT Manager role within 2–3 years. Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for hardware, networking, and system setup (phones, routers, VPNs)
• Monitor case progress and act as liaison between internal stakeholders and external customers
• Maintain and troubleshoot server room infrastructure and phone systems
• Support EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) operations and gradually take ownership of EDI responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to IT-related projects
• Ensure smooth communication between principal and customer, tracking updates and resolving issues
• Potential short-term travel (e.g., 1–2 weeks in Taiwan) for training or collaboration

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a college degree in IT or related field
• 0–3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration
• Basic knowledge of AI, computer systems, and networking
• Familiarity with hardware setup and troubleshooting
• Strong interpersonal skills; outgoing and communicative
• Respectful of cultural differences, especially East/West norms
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a family-oriented environment

Key Responsibilities

-AI Model Development: Assist in building, training, and optimizing machine learning models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
-Data Analysis: Clean, preprocess, and analyze datasets to extract insights and support model performance.
-Research & Documentation: Stay updated on AI trends, document findings, and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
-Testing & Evaluation: Help test AI systems for accuracy, reliability, and ethical compliance.
-Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, brainstorms, and cross-functional projects to align AI efforts with business goals.
