Job Title: Mortgage Servicing Collections Agent

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mortgage Servicing Collections Agent to join our client to support borrowers in resolving early-stage mortgage delinquencies and maintaining homeownership stability. This direct-hire, hybrid role in Tempe, AZ, provides structured training followed by a rotating schedule that adjusts with daylight savings time. The agent will partner with customers through a high-volume call environment, focusing on problem-solving, repayment options, and customer care rather than commission-driven collections.

Compensation:
$20–$24/hour, based on mortgage and collections experience

Work Schedule:
• Training: 6 weeks onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (no time off during training)
• March–November: Mon–Fri 9:00am – 6:00pm, plus 1 rotating Saturday/month, 5:30am – 10:00am
• November–March: Mon–Fri 10:00am – 7:00pm, plus 1 rotating Saturday/month, 6:30am – 11:00am

Key Responsibilities of the Mortgage Servicing Collections Agent:
• Guide borrowers through repayment solutions for accounts up to 45 days delinquent, helping them maintain their homes.
• Manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls using a dialer system while meeting established service and performance goals.
• Negotiate and establish repayment plans that align with customer needs and company standards.
• Document customer interactions, monitor account status, and escalate cases when necessary to specialized teams.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve inquiries and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications and Skills for the Mortgage Servicing Collections Agent:
• High school diploma or GED required; further education or equivalent experience is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, banking, financial services, or a call center collections environment preferred.
• Familiarity with FDCPA, Truth in Lending, RESPA, and related consumer protection regulations is strongly valued.
• Customer-focused communication skills, with the ability to balance empathy and firmness in resolving delinquent accounts.
• Experience using a dialer system or managing outbound calls is required; purely inbound call experience is not sufficient.
• Bilingual skills are a plus and may qualify for additional pay.
• Must not hold an active real estate license.
