Infrastructure Engineer – Storage
This role is reports to Director – Storage Build and is primarily responsible to work day to day storage tasks across multiple storage technologies in both private and public clouds. This role is also responsible for driving key initiatives working with multiple stakeholders across the organization and bring in thought leadership in driving RCA’s
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver storage Infrastructure build in timely fashion as per agreed timelines
- Partner with various teams (Network, Datacenter) and stakeholders to drive project governance & project deliverables.
- Frontend customers for new requests and engage Engineering teams as appropriate.
- Drive efficiency across existing technologies
- Drive backup/recovery initiatives/activities for Compute and Storage devices
- Identify products/tools for Data migration as needed and implement process changes to reduce bubble costs.
- Provide support for critical incidents.
- Work with Sr Engineers across the organization for gaining deeper knowledge on storage products
- Continue to learn and evolve technical skill sets on upcoming and new products
- Knowledge on automation and ability to write scripts/API calls is a bonus
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related disciplines; or equivalent bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field
- At least 4-8 years of working knowledge in Storage or Compute related technologies.
- Deeper understanding on Network technologies will be a benefit.
- Strong working experience on Incident/Problem management processes
- Knowledge on product life cycle on any Infrastructure component is a benefit
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
