Software Engineer
General job description:
As a Software Engineer at Axus Technology, you will be working in a fast paced and collaborative environment to
maintain and enhance the controls software for our legacy semiconductor processing equipment. This role requires a
knowledge of C and C++ , Borland, IDE and MASM programming, DOS 5.0, and Windows 95/98, to develop and
maintain the existing Software programs on an EISA BUS control systems. The ability to configure and troubleshoot
complex control systems, including motors, drives, pneumatic systems, knowledge of PLC ladder logic and structured
text, would be helpful.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties may include but will not be limited to the following:
• Develop, debug, and modify existing C software.
• Configure and troubleshoot control system hardware.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering to debug software and hardware related issues.
• Develop, debug, and modify existing PLC software.
• Perform software updates.
• Complete software testing, code reviews, and document software releases.
Desired skill:
• Proficient in C & MASM programming.
• Experience with PLC Controls.
• Experience working with and troubleshooting complex control systems including motors, drives, pneumatic systems,
and serial communication networks.
• Must be able to meet time sensitive objectives.
• Ability to carry out work assignments without supervision.
Qualifications & Experience :
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain a regular work schedule.
• Punctual attendance consistent with our company policy.
