Robert Half Legal is partnering with a Professional Employer Organization based in Chandler, AZ looking for an in-house Paralegal to join their team. In this role, you will provide critical support to attorneys and managers, ensuring the smooth handling of tax-specific legal matters. This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to work in-house at an established company with a tight-knit, collaborative legal team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation and tracking of ERC filings
- Review IRS transcripts and analyze filing histories
- Communicate directly with clients regarding ERC claim status and eligibility
- Draft client correspondence, including status updates and explanatory letters
- Support internal review of tax filings and documentation
- Assist attorneys and tax team with ERC-related legal matters
- Help address claim denials, dismissals, and statute of limitations issues
- Provide general support on potential ERC-related disputes or litigation matters
Details:
- Long term contract, ~12+ months with the potential to transition to a direct hire
- 5 days in office in Chandler, AZ
- Full time, 40-hour work week
- Parking is covered
- Starts immediately
- 3+ years of paralegal or relevant experience (tax, compliance, or litigation exposure preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly in a complex, evolving area of law
- Ability to manage compliance-related tasks effectively
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to handle client interactions and legal documentation.
