Data Center Technician- Inventory & Asset Logistic
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Center Technician -Inventory & Asset Logistic in Goodyear, AZ. Resource(s) will be working Day Shift B: 12-hours (Thursday - Saturday) & (Wednesday - Saturday). Summary: The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions. As a Data Center Technician focused on Inventory & Asset Logistics support performs assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations. Responsibilities:
- Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision
- Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order (PO) receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor (RMS) activities)
- Ensures complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging
- Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity
- Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process
- Ensures detailed physical inventory tracking and staging; Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks
- High School diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience with warehouse/supply chain/logistics in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, warehouse management, or a related field
- Associate's degree in Computer Programming or equivalent training required
- 1-3 years of data center experience required
- Previous experience working in a data center environment
- Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
