Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiology
Description
This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality radiological services and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals in the healthcare industry.
As a Locum Radiologist, you will be instrumental in providing diagnostic imaging services, contributing to patient care, and ensuring accurate interpretations of imaging studies. This role is essential in supporting our medical team to achieve the best outcomes for our patients while maintaining the highest standards of practice in radiology.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
- Interpret imaging results and provide accurate reports to referring physicians
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop treatment plans based on imaging results
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in radiology
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide consultation services to physicians and healthcare professionals
- Stay updated with advancements in radiology and medical imaging technology
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Arizona
- Completion of residency training in Radiology
- Experience in diagnostic radiology procedures
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
- No call shifts required
Setting: Onsite
Daily Volume: 60-70 diagnostic reads, 20-30 mammography reads
Cases: Diagnostic, nuclear, US, MRI, and mammography
EMR: Epic
PACS: Merge
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
