Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based occupational therapy position is available on a contract basis in Somerton, AZ, offering 20-30 hours per week. This role focuses on providing direct OT services primarily to high school students across multiple schools, supporting approximately 40 students with various therapeutic needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized occupational therapy services to students within the school setting.
• Managing a high school caseload effectively, ensuring each students therapy goals are addressed.
• Traveling to 1-2 school sites daily to provide consistent and quality support.
• Collaborating with educators and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
• Documenting student progress and communicating regularly with families and school teams.
• Supporting and possibly covering duties left by the recently resigned COTA team member.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy, particularly in educational environments.
• Ability to manage a caseload of up to 40 students with varying needs.
• Adaptability to travel between multiple school sites, offering services at 1-2 locations daily.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with school personnel and families.
• Prior experience working in high school settings is preferred.
