AI/ML Engineer

Kforce has a client that is seeking an AI/ML Engineer. This role is hybrid (2-3X per week in office) in Phoenix, AZ or NYC. Phoenix is preferred, but NYC will be considered for top candidates. In this role, you will work in a lean, collaborative team environment where innovation is encouraged, and every project has meaningful impact. Summary: Our client is massively expanding its AI/ML Engineering team to drive innovation across Risk & Compliance, Privacy, and Governance applications. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects, guiding partner teams through the AI/ML lifecycle and building production-ready solutions in Generative AI, NLP, and machine learning. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models with a focus on Generative AI, LangChain, and NLP use cases
• Partner with internal application teams to ideate, prioritize, and implement AI/ML-driven solutions
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrating AI/ML models into batch and real-time applications
• Author and maintain clear documentation (data dictionaries, model docs, code docs) to support governance and compliance
• Contribute to the intake process by evaluating problem statements and providing technical guidance
• Collaborate across teams, from ideation through production deployment and maintenance
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong experience in Python; Java is a plus
• Proven hands-on experience with machine learning, NLP, and Generative AI (LangChain, ChatGPT, or similar)
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and ML governance in regulated industries is a plus
• Knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning and classical ML techniques
• Familiarity with big data ecosystems and cloud (GCP preferred)
• Solid SQL skills (Hive, PySpark); NoSQL a plus
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
