Preschool Cook

Summary We are seeking an Part Time Experienced Preschool Cook to join our Learning Center in Tempe, AZ! The cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritionally balanced meals for children. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food and portion control using standard recipes and also for appropriate qualities of food needed to meet menu requirements. Duties - Under direction of the Kitchen Supervisor, plans, prepares and nutritionally balanced meals for the children, promoting and reinforcing good nutritional habits; trying new foods, portion control and a balanced diet.
- Wearing proper cooking attire (i.e. apron, hat, or hair net, gloves, etc.).
- Follow CDC Guidelines and sanitization requirements. Ensuring all kitchen equipment are clean and in good working order at all times.
- Complete weekly menus for center each week and take inventory of supplies in kitchen.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and teachers.
- Maintain the health and safety of all students.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by the State of Arizona.
Requirements Compassion, Team Player, Creativity, Alertness, Great Planner, Flexibility, Excellent Communicator. Minimum of 1 Year of experience working in a licensed facility, teaching or another related fields. - assionate about working with children, Infants to Pre-K.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of recipe development, general nutrition and large quantity food preparation.
- Ability to adapt to changes (i.e. food substitutions and number served)
- REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 Yrs. old, have a High School Diploma or GED, Drivers License, have CPR/First Aid, Food handlers card, Fingerprint Clearance card, TB Test
