WHAT ARE THE HOURS AS A SENIOR ESTIMATOR - ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER?
This is a full-time, in-office position with 45 - 50 hours per week . While you'll primarily work from our Glendale, AZ office, you will also travel to job sites in the area to oversee projects and ensure successful execution. This is not a remote position. All of our jobs are in the greater Phoenix area so no overnights needed.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?
As a Senior Estimator - Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing highly accurate commercial electrical estimates using McCormick Estimating Software and other industry tools. You will perform detailed take-offs, update material pricing, and present competitive proposals to clients, ensuring that every bid is structured, thorough, and timely. Beyond estimating, you will play a key role in managing 5-8 active projects at different stages. You will work closely with vendors, clients, and all levels of the organization to facilitate seamless project coordination.
Your responsibilities will include leading pre-job meetings, managing job budgets, processing change orders, and ensuring long-lead items are addressed on time. As part of our strategic executive team, you will have a big-picture perspective, ensuring that critical path needs are met on job sites while also contributing to the overall growth and efficiency of the company. You will collaborate with field superintendents, foremen, and office staff to maintain job cost accuracy, resolve technical questions, and drive continuous improvement in company systems and best practices.
IS THIS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU?
- 8+ years of experience in commercial electrical estimating and project management
- Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of ground-up commercial projects ($250,000 - $2 million)
- Extensive knowledge of NEC codes and industry best practices
- Proficiency in McCormick Estimating Software (preferred), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Bluebeam
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects (5-8 at a time)
- Confirmable professional references
