Fleet Operations Manager (Scottsdale)

Position OverviewThe Fleet Manager is responsible for ensuring the performance, safety, presentation, and efficiency of our mobile fleet and field teams. This role combines operations management, leadership, training, and accountability to drive exceptional service results and maintain a best-in-class fleet.
Key ResponsibilitiesFleet & Equipment Management- Oversee maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment to ensure peak performance
- Conduct regular inspections for safety, compliance, and reliability
- Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs
- Perform weekly and monthly fleet audits (cleanliness, inventory, tools, branding)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and luxury-level fleet appearance
- Enforce routine vehicle washes and detailing schedules
- Track and manage vehicle damage reporting and repairs
- Monitor driver behavior using vehicle cameras and provide coaching
- Lead monthly safety training sessions (driving, environmental conditions, equipment handling)
- Develop and enforce driver safety policies and procedures
- Set and track performance goals aligned with company KPIs
- Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with team leaders
- Foster a culture of accountability, pride, and continuous improvement
- Recognize top performers and coach underperformance
- Deliver monthly training sessions on operations and service quality
- Conduct ride-alongs for real-time coaching and evaluation
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Lead daily team briefings to align on goals and expectations
- Maintain clear, professional communication with field teams
- Provide updates, performance insights, and operational direction
- Monitor service times and improve workflow efficiency
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks
- Optimize labor utilization while maintaining service quality
- Ensure teams deliver a consistent, high-end customer experience
- Track customer feedback and implement improvements
- Enforce service standards and quality checks
- Work cross-functionally with operations, scheduling, and customer service teams
- Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and accountability
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across fleet operations
- Proven experience in fleet management, operations, or field service leadership
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Experience managing performance metrics and KPIs
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in mobile service industries (detailing, logistics, home services, etc.)
- Familiarity with fleet tracking systems, cameras, or telematics
- Background in training and team development
