We are a busy orthopedic surgical practice dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Our team works in a fast-paced environment supporting orthopedic surgeons and helping patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing orthopedic team. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical practice.
Responsibilities
Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories
Prepare patients for orthopedic examinations and procedures
Assist physicians during patient exams and minor procedures
Remove sutures/staples and apply splints or braces as directed
Document patient information accurately in the EMR
Coordinate imaging, referrals, and follow-up appointments
Assist with patient education regarding post-operative care
Maintain exam rooms and ensure proper stocking of medical supplies
Qualifications
Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
Previous experience in an orthopedic or surgical practice preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical environment
